My wife and I were also “one and done” with Hey Crapcake. I tried the MJ and her Chocolate withe whipped cream filling. Both not very good and not what we imagined a cupcake shop would be like. I guess we imagined something more like 31 flavors. Too bad, it was a great concept and as mentioned above poor execution.

I tried Hey Cupcake too when I came over for a cake convention from CA and my reaction was the exact same. My mom practically licked the frosting off, but left the cupcake in the bag…sooo sad!

i tried heycupcake back in december and was expecting home-baked yummy goodness and was immediately disappointed with the first bite. i got the double dose and wow, talk about a major letdown. i just don’t understand – there is so much hype about this place and it’s just OK. If you ask me, they taste like bland boxed cake mix cupcakes. Lame.

I too was wondering about that place “Hey Cupcakes.” Just the other day my brother and I were talking about how they started their business.

Uggg that sucks!! What a huge let down, I hate when that happens. This just proves you need to open your own cupcake shop!!!
